Tock is only two years old, but the idea originated several years ago out of a simple frustration: no-shows (people who bail on their reservation) are costing restaurants money. Nick Kokonas and Chef Grant Achatz opened Alinea in Chicago to international fanfare in 2005 - now a perennial Michelin three-star, and widely considered one of the best restaurants in the world.

Convinced there had to be a better way, Nick built a crude ticketing system to solve the problem and lower labor costs. The homemade platform was a success. Nick founded Tock with Brian Fitzpatrick, founder of Google’s Chicago Engineering Office, to turn this simple idea into a robust product, complete with all the tools a restaurant needs to succeed. Today, Tock is experiencing rapid growth as a global brand with restaurants across 15 countries processing over $250M in prepaid reservations.

Job Description

Tock is looking for an experienced and motivated Territory Account Executive to join our growing team. As a critical member of Tock's sales organization, you'll be part of a dynamic group, working with the best and brightest in the industry. You will continuously build a high-quality, strategic pipeline to drive the adoption of Tock to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process; lead generation, solution demoing, price negotiation, and hand-off to our implementation team to ensure customer success.

Requirements

  • 3+ years selling enterprise software (SaaS experience preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
  • Experience using Salesforce to manage pipeline
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Sell Tock to replace and improve current reservation systems
  • Meet and exceed sales revenue goals and overall business objectives
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation
  • Become a Tock product expert to lead online and onsite product demonstrations
  • Build your territory pipeline of prospects through cold-calling, internet search, and professional networking
  • Ability to manage complex sales and develop strategic plans
  • Manage daily activity within Salesforce
  • Collaborate with Tock’s Account Management team to ensure expectations set during the sales process are achieved during implementation
